Jocelyn Bérard, M.Ps. MBA is the Vice President of International Leadership and Business Solutions (Vice-président Leadership et Solutions d’Affaires — Internationale) at Global Knowledge Canada and is a recognized expert and speaker in the areas of Business Management and Human Resources. His clients range from industries as diverse as telecommunications, auto manufacturing, government, health care, aerospace, and banking. A specialist in Talent Management especially related to Leadership Development, Succession Management, and Selection Best Practices, Jocelyn has two undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Resources, a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and an Executive MBA.
Ted Dziekanowski (CISSP, CISA, MCITP, MCTS, MCSE) has nearly 20 years of IT experience with 17 years of messaging experience with both Lotus Domino and all versions of Microsoft Exchange. In additional to providing training as a certified instructor, Ted also contributed to two IBM Redbooks dealing with migration from either platform. Ted’s most recent accomplishments include becoming certified in the Microsoft System Center family of products and teaching a wide variety of products for Global Knowledge including CISA and CISSP exam prep classes, SCOM and SCCM, as well as Microsoft Exchange and Server 2008 classes.
Brian Egan (MSC, MBP, PMP) is a management consultant with twenty years of experience in manufacturing and project management. He has published numerous articles and manuals in the field of management science with particular emphasis on project management and decision making.
David Egan (PE, PMP, RHSE, MCT) was one of the early developers and instructors of project management and professional skills content for Global Knowledge. He has extensive development experience for hard and soft skills training related to various Microsoft, UNIX and Linux Operating Systems, Internet oriented networking services and their security, as well as Business Process Analysis and Project Management.
Brian Egler is a SQL specialist with a focus on SQL Server, Windows, .Net and XML. He has been a technical instructor for over 20 years and has more than 10 years experience with SQL Server, data modeling, database design, application development including IMS, DB2, Sybase. Every year he runs the Boston Marathon for cancer research.
Katie Franklin, UK Marketing Manager, Global Knowledge has worked in the IT and Management training industry for 17 years. During this time, she also spent three years managing marketing projects for a Global Business and IT Solutions Company. She specialized in online marketing during the early phase of her career, and she extended this to marketing communications, including PR and media relations. Katie manages the marketing function for the UK business at Global Knowledge. The role includes devising, planning and implementing a marketing strategy, and is also responsible for the communication and PR strategy.
Al Friebe (CCDA, CCDP, CCNA, CCNP, A+, CCSI) has taught networking classes since 1995. He previously served as Global Knowledge’s Course Director for BGP and BSCI, and he is the author of our current ICND2 and BGP labs. His previous experience includes instructor duty in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power School, radio-chemistry, software engineering, and network management.
Tom Gram is Senior Director, Leadership and Business Solutions at Global Knowledge Canada with over 25 years of cross-industry experience in instructional design and e-learning to meet unique customer needs. Tom’s experience includes learning services leadership, executive consulting, and learning design in both internal and client facing roles. He has an M.A. in Instructional Design and is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) with the Canadian Society for Training and Development. He is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
Michael Gregg (CISSP, CISA, CISM, MCSE, CTT+, A+, N+, Security+, CNA, CCNA, CIW Security Analyst, CCE, CEH, CHFI, CEI, DCNP, ES Advanced Dragon IDS, SSCP) is the founder and president of Superior Solutions, Inc., a Houston-based IT security consulting, auditing, and training firm. Michael has more than 15 years of experience in information security and risk management. Michael has extensive experience in performing security audits and assessments, and is the author of Build Your Own Security Lab, CISSP Exam Cram, Inside Network Security Assessment, and CEH Exam Prep 2. Michael is a site expert for TechTarget.com and also serves on their editorial advisory board. Michael has created security, audit, and IT networking courses for various companies and universities and speaks at events such as Hacker Halted.
Doug Groover is an experienced online chat representative with Global Knowledge. His goal is to create healthy and loyal client relations through online communication tools. As this new platform emerges and builds its importance toward sales and customer service channels, he is documenting and recording new strategies to maximize the scope of online customer engagement.
Chris Gosk is the Vice President of Content and Learning Services for Global Knowledge. He has over 20 years of experience executing strategic business solutions to customers in an Internet environment. Before coming to Global Knowledge, Chris was Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for a software company that specializes in building products in the content management space. He has an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with a concentration in High-Tech Marketing and a B.A. from Brown University with a concentration in Business Management.
Jeffrey Hall lives in the Memphis, TN area with his wife, two daughters, and 6-month old grandson. He is currently a full-time instructor and consultant with over 15 years of experience administering and engineering production networks. He has managed many aspects of networking, including virtualization, IP telephony, security, as well as systems management, such as email, DNS, DHCP, and web servers, UNIX servers, SAN storage, and large-format printing, and these days he specializes in VMware virtualization as well as Cisco IP Telephony, Security, and Datacenter operations.
Mohamed Hamad (VCI, VCP, CCEA, HDA, HDI, CCA, MCSE, MCT, MCSA, MCP) has more than seven years experience in the IT field with different multinational companies ranging from Senior Instructor to VMware Program Manager. He manages and developed the VMware team, delivers VMware training courses, leads the VMware team to provide second line tech support, and offers virtualization consulting. He travels across the EMEA region to deliver training, consulting, and technical assistance regularly for Global Knowledge Egypt
Mike Hammond (MCT, MCITP:SA, MCITP:EA, MCSE, MCAD, MCDBA) is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and has delivered technical training for over 14 years with a focus on infrastructure management and scripting technologies. He’s been programming since typing ’ 10 PRINT “HI” ’ into his TI-99/4A in 1980. A Bachelor of Science in IT and Software Engineering, he lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three kids.
Amr Ibrahim (CCSP, Nexus, and UCS Specialist) works as a Data Center Program Manager for Global Knowledge Egypt. He has delivered numerous sessions in different countries covering mainly Cisco technologies for Security and Data Center.
John Mark Ivey (AMCT) is an award-winning journalist and graphic designer with over 20 years of experience in the communications field. He has worked at Channel Master Satellite and News & Observer Publishing/McClatchy Interactive, and he currently manages Global Knowledge’s social media programs. A graduate of Campbell University, where he studied Mass Communications and Public Relations, John Mark has worked on projects with RCA, DIRECTV, Toshiba, Muzak, Ace Hardware, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Orkin Pest Control, MGM Studios, and LabCorp. He is also an Apple Macintosh Certified Technician.
Jill Liles has been a product marketing manager for Global Knowledge for five years, primarily focusing on Cisco technologies. A summa cum laude graduate of Peace College (now William Peace University), she has 15 years experience in direct marketing and technical marketing communications. She lives in central NC with two rambunctious dogs.
Robert Long (CCSI, CCVP, CCDP, CCNA, CQS) has worked with voice technologies since 1996 and VoIP technologies since 2005. He is a Cisco Unified Communications instructor at Global Knowledge, as well as a UC Engineering Specialist at Mirafrey. His background includes engineering and management roles in service provider organizations. Bob has authored several white papers and technical briefs on the subject and lives on the “Silicon Prairie” in Auburn, IN, with his spouse, two children, and three cats.
Kirsten Lora (PMP, ITIL Practitioner) specializes in product development, new business start-ups, and establishing project management offices. She is currently employed at Global Knowledge as the Worldwide Product Manager for Business Training. Her industry knowledge and experience in project management and IT service management allows her to bring a new approach to the curriculum direction.
Dr. Hank Marquis (Ph.D., FBCS CITP, Certified IT Services Manager) is a well-known practitioner, author, and lecturer who served as the Business Service Management Practice Leader at Global Knowledge. Hank managed IT organizations large and small, and previously held roles of CIO, CTO, Sr. Analyst, Director of ITSM Consulting, Network Engineer, Central Office Manager, and others. He is a Chartered IT Professional, Fellow of the British Computer Society, Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, APMG Examiner, EXIN examiner, committee member on the OGC/ITIL Qualifications Board ATO subgroup, and a committee member of the ASQ Service Quality Body of Knowledge. He holds certifications in ITIL, ISO-20000, Six Sigma, COBIT and Project Management.
Douglas McKillip (PE, CCIE #1851, CCSI) is the President and Principal Consultant of Innovative Integrators Inc., a Delaware Corporation actually based in Delaware.After 15 years of experience at DuPont, and a brief stint with the original start-up company associated with the Raptor Eagle Firewall, Doug began his now 15+ year career of teaching and consulting, specializing in Internet Security with hardware from Cisco since 1998. In addition to a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, Doug also later obtained an MS from the University of Delaware in Computer and Information Science.
Mark Menges (MCT) specializes in certification boot camps for Windows Server 2008 and Vista. Clients have included the U.S. State Department, U.S. Army and Marines, and private companies, such as Northrop Grumman and MetLife. Mark resides with his wife and two daughters in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Randy Muller (MCT, MCSE, MCSA, MCDST) is an instructor with Global Knowledge, specializing in teaching Microsoft certification boot camps, as well as courses on Exchange, Server 2008 and Office Communications Server.
Gidget Pryor is a SQL Server consultant and instructor with over 20 years database, systems engineering, application development, and programming experience. She worked with multiple database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, FoxPro, Access and Sybase. She especially enjoys business intelligence and performance tuning. She is currently the Global Knowledge SQL Server course director.
Joe Rinehart, MBA, CCIE #14256, CCNP/DP/VP is a professional trainer specializing in technology, business and social media. He is also a successful speaker and published author, as well as a columnist for the Federal Way Mirror. He is active in the social media space, managing one of the largest groups on LinkedIn, as well as serving on the national steering committee of the Cisco Collaboration Users Group. Joe also serves as president of the Seattle Cisco Users Group, serving technology professionals throughout the Puget Sound region.
Domingo Rogers has been in the IT industry for more than 9 years. While at Global Knowledge he has enjoyed helping those in or trying to enter the IT sector with their training needs for more than 5 years. When he isn’t researching companies, developing strategies to better connect with customers, or jamming out to Pandora while he slugs through spreadsheets, you can find him passionately talking about social media, Vlogging, art, his wife, and their five kids.
Michael Scarborough has worked in information technology for the last 22+ years in various roles including direct hands-on operation of IT systems, leadership of complex projects, establishing multi-platform automation, and adoption of service management best practices. He has helped numerous organizations in various industries adopt ITIL best practices and is an ITIL v2 Service Manager and an ITIL v3 Expert. Michael currently helps large and small organizations make significant improvements through adoption of ITIL best practices and regularly delivers ITIL v3 training at all levels on behalf of Global Knowledge.
Linda Smith, UK Business Development Director for Microsoft and VMware has worked in the IT training industry for over 16 years and focuses on major account development across all verticals. Linda works closely with leading vendors at Global Knowledge UK such as Microsoft and VMware whilst also continuing to support strategic account development. Linda spends most of her spare time with her husband and children. She loves to travel and also tries to fit in yoga as much as she can.
Darrell Stiffler, PMP has been a member of PMI since 1998 and received his PMP designation in September, 1999, a time when there were only 12,000 PMP’s in the world. He’s also certified in ITIL Foundations v2 & v3. He has over 20 years of project management experience in various industries mostly in IT related projects. Eric Strause is the Sr. Director of Network Products and Services at Global Knowledge. With over 14 years of IT training experience at Global Knowledge, Eric has expertise in all aspects of the training business from program and partner relationship management to Business Development and Operations. Eric has been a key visionary in Global Knowledge’s remote lab practice which currently serves over 170,000 hours of remote lab experiences for students every month. Eric lives in Apex, NC with his wife and two daughters.
Greg Timpany has spent 20 years in the world of marketing, analytics, and strategy. His expertise lies between the structured world of IT and the customer-focused needs of marketing. His thought leadership has been honed via experience in B2B, B2C and the public sector, with client-facing agency roles and positions within internal marketing departments. He has worked for The Los Angeles Times, Guitar Center, Wilkin Guge Marketing, and currently with Global Knowledge. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from CSU San Bernardino.
Daniel Voigtlander is a Solutions Architect with Global Knowledge. He has over 28 years of IT Experience in multiple disciplines. Of those 28 Years, 15 have been with Global Knowledge in varying roles to include Instructor, Courseware Designer and Consultant. He currently provides consulting across multiple products in the Avaya, Alfresco, Appcelerator and Sonicwall portfolios. His previous experience includes Siemens, Ericsson and instructor duty in the U.S. Navy’s Electronic Warfare and Cryptology School
Brad Werner is a software engineer, IT consultant, and technical trainer in Phoenix, Arizona. Brad has been teaching and developing courses for Global Knowledge for 15 years. He’s a best-selling author whose software, books, and award-winning course materials have been used worldwide. Brad holds a B.S. in Computer Science, has completed half of a Masters in Telecommunications, as well as other certifications.
